So, some of my fellow bloggers are doing this, so why not. Here is my sad excuse for a lady and the small amount of shoes that she has:
These are my Nine Wests
The unused running shoes
My strappy heels
My stripper shoes
My cowboy boots, how can you not have cowboy boots in Texas?
My inner 80's child Airwalks
My around the house shoes
My nicer around the house shoes
My oldest pair of boots. I got them a year before I met Justin. That would mean they are 9 yrs old.
And last but not least, my most comfortable pair of shoes.
So there they are, I am the worst for holding onto shoes too long. It's just that once they get that comfy feeling, I just don't want to rebreak a new pair of shoes in.

A day at the beach.
JJ had the day off so we decided to go to the beach. We went down to Galveston and road the ferry over and drove our car right up on the beach and all of us, including Rocky, had a great time. I love having the Element b/c you can open up the car from all sides and let the wind go right through the car. A great plus, was that I got lay down in my own car and not have to worry about getting sand all over me. So here are some of the pictures from the beach. Enjoy.
Justin, JJ and Jocelyne playing in the sand.
Look Mom, I can wear plastic make believe nails.

Dreams......
Have you ever had those dreams where you wake up from a bad dream and go back to bed and the dream just keeps going on and on, even though you wake up again and again? I had one of those last night. So, here is the dream I had.....
Justin and I started watching a movie after we put the kids to bed last night. (Sweeny Todd) Anyway, I fell asleep on the couch and woke up around 3am with a dream about being back in High school. (Which is a nightmare in itself.) My back, head and neck were hurting and I was seeing flashes of lights and passing out in my dream. I asked to go see the school nurse. When I got there, it was in the old school cafeteria that was in the center of the school in one of the offices off to the side. People were still eating lunch in their assigned lunch blocks. There was a price list in front of the nurses office. It said...
To get into the office, you have 4 options.
For a very long wait and to sit in an old broken down hospital bed: $3.00
For a long wait and a recently used hospital bed: $5.00
For a minimum wait and a nice posh bed: $10.00
If you don't have any money and would like to use the phone to call for an ambulance: $1.00
Ambulance ride, paid up front: $1,000.00
There was also a disclaimer from the school nurse and school. It said....
NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGES OR DEATH WHILE WAITING.
I did not have any money on me because when I was in high school, my mom made my lunches and so she didn't give me money to spend on lunch. I was dragged back to the classroom where I continued to have the same symptoms. But when I passed out, I woke up with less clothes on, embarrassing pictures taken of me and people laughing at me and the photos. I guess someone felt sorry for me and paid $5.00 for me so that I could go see the nurse.
They dragged me down by my wrists to the nurses station again and gave the receptionist the $5.00 so that I could get a place to wait for the nurse. While I was waiting for the nurse, the receptionist came up to me and said "It will be $20.00 to see the nurse. She is taking care of all the sick patients and will get to you within 3 hours". I told her that I did not have any money to see the nurse and she told me that I could lay down for the 3 hours in the bed that was paid for and then I had to go back to class. I was not allowed any outside calls.
I stayed there for the three hours in and out of consciousness and found myself on the floor outside the nurses station with two people picking me up and dragging by the wrists again, back to class. One of them said to me..."if you didn't have the money to pay for the nurse to look at you, then why did you come down here in the first place"? I felt like I was going to die at any moment. I was put back in my chair, same thing happened again and there were less clothes on me every time I woke up. I just kept looking at my watch to see when school would end but the time kept going backwards instead of forwards. School was never going to end and I was going end up dead in the chair that they left me on and if I kept passing out, I was going to end up with no clothes on and have people laughing at me and more embarrassing photos of me every time I woke up.
After passing out and waking up, the last thing I remember was that Justin was there (I didn't meet him until after I graduated so I was very confused b/c in my dream I knew him) he was carrying me out of the room and out of the school with the school right behind him telling him that he could not do that and that he would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law if he didn't drop me at that moment. He didn't care, he just walked me out of the school and all I could see was the bright light of the sun and I was woken up to Justin asking me to wake up and that it was time to get going for the day. I'm guessing that he had been trying to wake me up for quite some time and that's probably why he was in my dream at the end.
Even though it was a dream, he was still my hero and I love him for waking me up from that awful nightmare. But what a crazy dream. I swear it was all of my nightmares rolled into one.
I just had to post this one since I actually remembered it so vividly. Has anyone else had dreams like this to where you remembered it so vividly?

Digging up the back yard.
This weekend, Justin decided it was a good time to start working on the back yard. I don't know if our backyard has ever really had some good TLC. For the past few years, there has been nothing but weeds in the backyard and no one has really wanted to hang out back there, not even the dog, so Justin got to work on it. We are going to be digging up the whole back yard and starting from scratch. The ground is so hard that not even grass can grow. So with this, Justin is going to break up the dirt, mix in some good top soil and re-seed half the yard with actual grass and put a garden on the other half so that it can start getting some good nutrients. He has always talked about when he lived in Mexico as a kid and prided himself for his large garden that he had to take care of and wants to do it again. Plus, it would be nice to actually have some home grown veggies and teach JJ how to grow things on his own.
I took some pictures of my men working hard in the yard. I think JJ thought it was really cool to get all dirty and find all the earth worms and make it into a treasure hunt. We found some old playstation games under the dirt, old toys from when we were kids and plenty of roots from trees. I still don't know how they got where Justin was digging them up since I don't ever remember having trees on that end of the yard. But even with all the dirt, bugs and weeds, they still had a great time. We are almost 1/3 done with the back yard and so within the next week or two, between Justin and JJ and two cheerleaders, we should have the whole backyard dug up and we can actually start making the backyard a place where we want to hang out again.
My JJ is growing up so fast. He loved getting his hands dirty with his dad.
Justin and JJ had a great time helping to dig out the weeds in the yard. (That's all it was in our backyard, weeds)
I think it was great that JJ loved working in the backyard helping his dad. They got some really good father-son time and talking in.

Monsters
I thought this one was cute too. Eventhough this child still has a potty mouth, she still has a good point.

I got this one from another blogger today. I got a good laugh from it.
Anyway, not much happening here. So as someone always says.... "No new is good news".

Why does everything always happen after hours?
This is Rocky when Justin got him to the emergency after hours vet and some of the benadryle had kicked in.
This is Rocky two hours after coming home from the vet and knocked out from all the meds.
We had to rush our Boxer to the emergency vet last night after he was attacked by a swarm of wasps. This is not the first time this has happened. He was also attacked last week by another swarm of wasps. We thought that we gotten rid of them the last time it happened or I would not have let him in the back yard. Because of that, the vet told us that he can no longer be stung by a wasp b/c he would go into shock. The said that since he is still a puppy and b/c everytime that he gets stung, the reaction will get worse every time. So Rocky is now an in-house dog. I felt so bad for him. From the time that he got stung, it took about 3 minutes for his eyes to puff up and the hives to break out all over him to go from red spots to bubble gum sized welts. The vet told us the only reason that he was breathing when he got there is b/c we gave him childrens benadryle immeadiatly and drove to the vet right away. They gave him more benadryle, some steroids and some pain killers. After about two hours he started looking normal and was very, very loopy.
So, why is it that everything happens after business hours are closed?
